A little bit about me
Currently a PM at WhatsApp (Meta), finally getting a chance to recap what I’ve been up to in 2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣2️⃣!
H1: Launched Move to iOS, a highly anticipated feature that allows users to move from Android to iPhone with their full WhatsApp history, unlocking a way for users to move freely between Android <> iOS platforms that was impossible in the past. Apple: Youtube, Apple.com, Apple Knowledge Base | WhatsApp: Tweet, Mark’s announcement | Organic: WABetaInfo
H2: Improved backup reliability and performance significantly (feature is currently used by >1.8 billion ppl around the world), reducing support tickets by 57% and improving backup success rate by 20%. Through additional optimizations, saved WhatsApp $xxM (cannot disclose) in backup operating cost for 2022 and 2023.
Previously a senior product manager at Mezmo (fka LogDNA), which funny enough has nothing to do with DNA 😅. We’re a log management platform that centralizes logs, enabling developers to store, search, and visualize their logs easily without having to worry about scaling.
A quick highlight of my impact at Mezmo:
2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣1️⃣: focused on building more cost control features to help enterprise customers manage their spend on logs, shipped two flagship features as part of the Spike Protection Bundle. Rounding out the year with leading integrations with Armor Cyber Security.
2️⃣0️⃣2️⃣0️⃣: focused on building out a Management Experience for Mezmo’s self-serve and enterprise customers, while hiring (interviewed over 300+ candidates across product, design, sales, engineering, and marketing), creating product management processes, and managing a small army of two product managers.
2️⃣0️⃣1️⃣9️⃣: focused on building an amazing Developer Experience within the Mezmo web app, launching our two products within IBM cloud (Log Analysis, Activity Tracker), and learning a sh*t ton about the logging and monitoring space 🥲.
Prior to Mezmo, I was a product manager at Manifold (acquired by Snyk), building a marketplace for cloud services. I owned both provider and developer-facing products and led the ideation, technical development, and launch of product features.
Prior to Manifold, I worked in the health tech space at a company called Vim (no... not the text editor/IDE 🙁), building a marketplace to connect employees to medical providers through an efficient, technology-driven platform. I joined Vim at seed stage and helped the company close a 10 million series A. Vim recently raised a 60 million series B.
